Bibliometric Analysis of Game-Based Researches in Educational Research

This research aims to conduct a bibliometric study describe how game-based educational is structured and it has evolved over time. For this purpose, analysis been used analyze 4980 publications indexed by the Elsevier SCOPUS database between 1967 May 2021. The related were evaluated analyzing co-authorship, co-occurrence, citation considering author, keyword, country, journal, university, publication variables. As result of analysis, was concluded that United States leading field significantly publishing more studies. Top performing organizations in Taiwan States. According keyword co-occurrence “game-based learning” most followed “serious games” “gamification”. Co-authorship status results show collaboration researchers not high number co-author groups small. It found influential literature review on games effectiveness motivation or learning Computers Education published cited journal research.
